FAQ
Before you call — common questions
How do I get a free hardwood flooring quote?
Request a free quote through our contact form, call 918-810-4844, email info@mayobros.com, or use the chat on this website. Share whether you need installation, refinishing, repair, or water-damage help, which rooms are involved, and photos if you have them. After we understand the scope, we can schedule an on-site look when needed and outline next steps clearly.
What areas do you serve around Tulsa?
We serve Greater Tulsa, including Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Bixby, Jenks, Owasso, Sapulpa, Sand Springs, Catoosa, and Glenpool. We also serve outlying areas such as Coweta, Collinsville, Skiatook, and Claremore. Our shop is at 5828 S 129th E Ave., Tulsa, OK 74134. If you are unsure whether your neighborhood is covered, call 918-810-4844 and we will confirm scheduling for your address.
What hardwood flooring services does Mayo Bros offer in the Tulsa metro?
Mayo Bros Wood Floors is a family-owned hardwood flooring contractor serving Greater Tulsa and outlying communities. Core services include hardwood floor installation (unfinished, prefinished, floating, glue-down, and parquet), hardwood floor refinishing with careful dust control, hardwood floor repair and board replacement, water damage hardwood repair, and buff and recoat when a full sand-down is not required. We also help with species selection and matching existing floors when a repair or addition needs to blend.
How long does a typical hardwood floor project take?
Timelines depend on the service. Prefinished installs are often ready faster after the boards are down. Unfinished installs usually need time for acclimation, install, sanding, and finishing—often about 5–7 days depending on size and stairs. Full-home refinishing typically spans several days. Water-damage repairs can take longer when drying and subfloor work are required. We give a realistic schedule after seeing your floors—not a one-size promise.
What affects the cost of hardwood flooring work?
We do not publish fixed menu prices because scope varies widely. Cost is shaped by square footage, stairs, species and product choice, unfinished vs prefinished systems, how much repair is needed first, subfloor condition, moisture history, color-change goals, and access or furniture constraints. A free quote after reviewing your project is the accurate way to budget—online calculators rarely match real Tulsa-area job conditions. Call 918-810-4844 to start.
Can you match or repair existing hardwood floors?
Yes. Matching and blending existing floors is a common part of our work. We carefully remove damaged boards when needed, interlace new wood into the existing floor, and stain/finish to blend as closely as the species, age, and available stock allow. Perfect invisibility is not always possible on very old or discontinued products, but we are honest about what a seamless result requires—sometimes that includes refinishing a larger area so color and sheen align.
