How long does hardwood floor installation take?
Prefinished and many floating systems are often ready sooner after install. Unfinished hardwood typically needs time for acclimation, install, sanding, and finishing—commonly about 5–7 days depending on size, stairs, and patterns. Custom borders, medallions, or difficult transitions add time. We set a schedule around your product choice and home layout, not a generic calendar promise.
Do you remove old carpet or other flooring before install?
Yes. We can remove existing floor coverings as part of preparing for a new wood floor installation. Subfloor condition is checked during prep because a beautiful hardwood install still depends on a stable, appropriate base underneath.
Solid or engineered hardwood—which is better for Tulsa homes?
Both can be excellent. Solid hardwood is classic and refinishable over many years when conditions allow. Engineered products can be smarter over certain substrates or where stability matters.
